Jodie Ann is a 16 year old singer/songwriter from Lancashire in the UK. She has been singing from the age of 2, and writing her own songs since she was 13. But how we did we find her?
Jodie Ann's grandmother worked at the Winter Garden in Blackpool during the Oh! What a Night Days in 1997 (a 70's musical starring Kid Creole). August and Jean became friends because the Kid visited the box office almost daily asking for discounted tickets for his friends, family and fans! Cheeky sod! Fast forward 20 years later, and that very same Jean reached out to tell Kid about her extraordinarily talented granddaughter. August was presented with a couple of Jodie Ann's songs by her number one fan, her mum Catherine, and he was instantly blown away! And when the 2C2C team heard those songs, they all agreed that this 16 year old would become a superstar with a little bit of luck and a whole lot of love. And just like that, Jodie Ann became the youngest artist signed to 2C2C.
