Kid Creole kidnapped Stephanie Fuller a.k.a. Haitia Fuller from her life as a studio singer. She was doing backups for groups like The Rolling Stones at night and by day, singing solo on commercials for Coca Cola, Burger King and almost every shampoo product.
After many sessions in the studio with August, he and writer Ronnie Rogers produced her hit song “Take Me for a Night in New York” from the Elbow Bones and the Racketeers project. The fun continued. August invited her to sing the duets on the Kid Creole album “ I , too Have Seen the Woods” with the promise that she would come and sing on world tour with him...but of course, and the journey continued.
